Shang Guan Xuan looked at Ye XingHe and she said.

“This is the core formation supporting the entire first floor of the Tower. The entire star power gathered in the Tower is channeled through here. You can cultivate peacefully for two or three months here.”

“What about you two?”

Ye XingHe looked at the both of them. He more or less knew what they were going to do but he asked anyway.

“XingHe, with you here, the emperor will never be able to complete his plan. As for your parents, clan members, and Xia Yu Ning’s father, just leave them to us. We will rescue them safe and sound and deliver them to you.”

Lin Hong said with a formal tone.

Shang Guan Xuan and Lin Hong knew they wouldn’t be able to persuade him from going to the fifth floor. They lied about talking with the Guardian. They wanted to seal Ye XingHe here while they proceeded to said floor themselves.

“You’re too weak.”

Shang Guan Xuan calmly said.

“Even if you go, you won’t be able to stop the emperor from completing his objectives!”

Shang Guan Xuan said with absolute confidence.

She already made preparations for stopping Ye XingHe when he planned to confront the emperor.

Lin Hong sighed.

Lin Hong also felt like tearing up when he thought about his farewell.

He said with the most radiant smile Ye XingHe has ever seen on his face.

Lin Hong said this farewell knowing full well there’s no coming back.

“Lin Hong. You best open up this barrier right now. We are sworn brothers, death is something we shall confront together!”

Ye XingHe roared at him.

Can he really do nothing as both Shang Guan Xuan and Lin Hong charge into their deaths? This is a torture worse than death for him!

But, knowing both of them, they wouldn’t budge on something after making up their minds.

Shang Guan Xuan looked at Ye XingHe with peaceful eyes. She imprinted his every expression into her mind. He’s the only one who managed to tether her to the present. The only one she’s reluctant to leave behind.

Their memories together flew past her mind.

“Farewell.”

Shang Guan Xuan silently said in her heart as she turned around.

“Lin Hong, let’s go.”

Ye XingHe continued hammering the barrier with his fists. A strong urge to cry welled up within him.

“Come back alive, you hear me?!”

Ye XingHe said while tears streamed down his cheeks.

“Nn.”

Shang Guan Xuan allayed as she walked further away.

“You too, Lin Hong, you better come back in one piece, you hear me?”

Ye XingHe’s heart is on the verge of tearing itself into pieces.

Lin Hong laughed out loud.

“Relax, we promised to bring your parents and elders back so that’s what we will do. Adieu, brother!”

Lin Hong turned around and he chased after Shang Guan Xuan.

He was not emotionally strong enough to hold back his tears.

He’s very sorry for dragging Shang Guan Xuan and Lin Hong back. The frustration built up within him.

Ye XingHe smashed the barrier as Lin Hong and Shang Guan Xuan walked further and further away.
