After the banquet, the Red Devil mansion was relatively peaceful with most sleeping soundly after a night of hard partying.

This continued until the next day when the fairy maids came out to work.

They slept through the day and night.

This feat might seem impossible to humans but for vampires, sleeping a long time is easy. There are also only a few windows so sunlight couldn't easily enter the Red Devil Mansion.

Remilia's room is completely shut off from all outside sunlight. She only had a door to her room.

Remilia, Wu Yan, and Flan slept without interruption.

In his faintly conscious mind, Wu Yan sensed killing intent.

Killing intent directed at him.

Wu Yan woke up immediately to respond to this threat.

Wu Yan flinched slightly.

A tall and slim figure is emanating that killing intent.

She wore a modified maid's uniform. Her cold blue eyes glimmered like starlight in the dimly lit room. Her silvery hair also glistened in the dim light.

The cold eyes were shooting daggers at him.

Sakuya wasn't hiding her animosity. She looked like she could attack at any moment.

Wu Yan furrowed his brows.

Anyone would be angry to be attacked in their sleep.

Much less from a person whom he regarded as having moved past the point of animosity.

Wu Yan looked at him.

"You got something wrong with your brain, lady?"

Wu Yan's sarcasm was met with a frosty answer from Sakuya. She stored her grouchy face.

"Apologies, Yakumo-sama. I didn't think you would share the bed with those you served. Color me surprised."

"Well, I don't know if that is true shock."

Wu Yan waved his hand.

"Anyone would get a heart attack if you stare daggers like that, right?"

"I know it's not but I need to confirm something."

Sakuya ignored Wu Yan's provocative statement.

"Yakumo-sama, you didn't sleep on the bed of the Young Misstresses without their permission, right?"

Sakuya released killing intent again.

If Wu Yan didn't answer correctly, Sakuya was coming for him with full force.

She probably thinks Wu Yan did this without their knowledge.

Anything regarding Remilia tugs at her most exposed nerve so Wu Yan knew better than to joke around.

But, he didn't do anything wrong and he didn't like Sakuya's tone and attitude with him.

"Yeah? Why do you think I need to climb into bed with two kids?"

"T-Two kids?"

Sakuya's aura paused.

Remilia and Flandre are easily 20 times older than Wu Yan, one is 500 years old while the other is 495 years old.

He would call these two vampires, kids?

She was surprised because anyone talking like this in front of Remilia would probably end up in the hospital or worse.

Wu Yan also couldn't care less, he spoke to the point.

To him, these two sisters were kids.

One is trying to act like an adult but she is a kid at the core.

Another is dangerous but she too is just another kid at the core.

Wu Yan got up from the bed and stretched his back.

"Onii-chan..."

Flandre called out to Wu Yan in her sleep.

"Flan..."

Remilia murmured while hugging Flan.

Sakuya loosened up after seeing that the two cute vampires were still resting. Wu Yan also stopped being so feisty.

He gently loosened Flan's grip on his shirt before tucking Remilia's leg back into the blanket.

"Sweet dreams."

Wu Yan pecked Flan's forehead before smiling at Remilia who was still mumbling in her sleep.

"She is cute when she is asleep, she should try being honest once in a while."

Wu Yan rubbed Remilia's head before giving it a kiss too.

Sakuya stepped forward but paused.

Wu Yan did that without ill intention. He was treating her like his sister.

Sakuya changed her perception of the guy.

This guy is truly treating them like his sisters.

He is also willing to care for Remilia who would snap at him at any juncture.

Why would he do that?

Sakuya was wavering in her conviction. She needed to know more about this man who intruded on the Red Devil Mansion.

Perhaps, if she stopped being so hostile, she could learn a thing or two about the man who signed the life-and-death covenant with Flandre.

Sakuya slightly bowed.

"The breakfast is ready, Shiro-sama, would you like to eat?"

"Oh, it's done?"

Wu Yan asked.

"I thought I was in charge of meals?"

"That is the duty of the maids."

Sakuya answered plainly.

"Shiro-sama is just a guide to us all."

"Oh, looks like this is quite the posh position."

Wu Yan shrugged.

"Did you make it yourself?"

"Yes, the two mistresses and yours."

"Okay, let me try some then."

Sakuya stopped temporarily.

He doesn't want to eat if it's not made by me?

Wu Yan exited the room, and Sakuya silently watched his receding back.
