Ch 25 - Counter-attacking the drenched dog

Absolute silence. Those words were the most fitting description of the situation they were in.

Everyone including Lin Jiadong and his group were overwhelmed by Luo Lin's calm and overbearing demeanor.

Every action that Luo Lin performed contained a powerful aura. So much so that Lin Jiadong who was situated closest to Luo Lin felt out of breath. One of the reasons was excitement, and the other was his revere for Luo Lin.

The thirty over brothers were gathered here by Lin Jiadong. Despite being with them for so long, this was the first time he had ever felt so extraordinary.

The black gloves alone struck awe into the hearts of everyone present. Every action was well-coordinated and uniformed.

In the beginning, Lin Jiadong had opposed Luo Lin's suggestion of using gloves, and also claimed that wooden clubs were more imposing than bricks.

Now, he realized that with morale, bricks could be just as imposing!

There was something else Luo Lin told them: 'If the police ever show up, throw the bricks away and we won’t have any issues. Those club-wielding guys however will be charged with a count of armed with a murder weapon!’

‘Even if they threw the sticks away, fingerprints could be used to identify them. If someone wishes to sabotage you, they could use that against you. So how could clubs be compared to bricks in terms of convenience?’

Whenever Luo Lin sets his mind to do something, he takes everything into consideration. That was what Lin Jiadong admires most about Luo Lin.

At that moment, Lin Jiadong thought: "I'm following Brother Luo Lin for life!"

The sun shone brightly above their heads and when a gust of wind blew, dust pervaded the crowded alleyway.

The hearts of Chi Shi and his little group were gripped with a biting cold.

'Things aren’t looking good... Brother Dragon, Brother Dragon, where are you?'

'I miss you...'

Chi Shi's heart palpitated. His legs began to shake uncontrollably as though his army had collapsed completely.

Luo Lin hadn’t done anything but the momentum he emanated struck fear into Chi Shi's gang.

Luo Lin could tell that Chi Shi was terrified, but he wasn’t in a hurry. Luo Lin wasn’t here to fight, he was here to take over.

Barbarians resort to brute force to gain their place. Smart people use their brains to gain their throne.

Those who use their methods and style of work to make others surrender are the most formidable!

"Chi Shi, you were talking about White Dragon Hall? Brother Dragon? Is it a crime syndicate?" Luo Lin took a step forward, appearing very casual.

Chi Shi forced himself to meet Luo Lin's eyes. When he remembered that his father was the Deputy Mayor and that Brother Dragon was his backer, he mustered up the courage.

"Yes! Brother Dragon's White Dragon Hall is the biggest gang of the movie district! I recognize that your men outnumbers mine. But you should remember that Brother Dragon is a real gang boss of the underworld society. When he gets angry, even your death isn’t enough to soothe his anger!"

"Oh Chi Shi..." Luo Lin sighed while he shook his head. As though he was an elder reprimanding their junior, he pointed at Chi Shi, "Do you know that your words would cause a lot of trouble for your Deputy Mayor father?"

Chi Shi fell into a daze. He was not knowledgeable about government matters so he didn’t know what Luo Lin was trying to imply.

Despite that, he couldn’t stand Luo Lin's condescending attitude. He wished to retort and curse at him, but he was fearful of what might happen. In the end, he held his tongue: "What does it have to do with you?! If you want to fight then do it! Today, it's either you or me! Only one of us can make it out alive!"

Luo Lin shrugged: "Chi Shi, I merely reminded you out of goodwill, if you refuse to listen, then it can't be helped. Since you're so persistent, then I shall discipline you on behalf of your father."

'On behalf of my father?!?!’

When Chi Shi heard these words, humiliation filled his heart and it soon turned into rage. The fear from previously had been swept away.

'I must get my face back for today!'

‘Luo Lin, next time I see you in One High, It's either you or me!'

My brothers, charge! Ignore the others, just beat Luo Lin up! Don't be fu*king cowards! I’ll shoulder all the problems!”

Chi Shi waved his hands and rushed toward Luo Lin. He thought his brothers would follow in his footsteps, but when he realized something after running mid-way... there was not a single person behind him!

The instant Chi Shi made the signal, his group rushed together. However, it wasn’t with him, but away from him!

Chi Shi turned around and the "brothers" who strutted proudly behind him earlier had all escaped desperately for their lives.

"Fu*k! Don't run guys! I'm alone! Hey!" At that moment, Chi Shi's confidence deflated completely.

He screamed like a dog that fell into the water.

Unfortunately, his words fell on deaf ears. These people didn’t even turn back to look, they simply escaped with their tails between their legs.

At this time, another gust of wind wheezed by and a chilled feeling came from Chi Shi’s crotch area. His heart turned cold as he quickly covered up his "little brother", trying to conceal the nasty mess.

Fortunately, he was wearing black pants today otherwise, he would’ve been embarrassed to death.

That was a very normal physiological reaction. When a person is in a state of fright, the body would relieve the pressure on the gallbladder, and the muscles of the heart will tighten up. This would cause the temporary collapse of the other body parts which inevitably leads to incontinence.

Chi Shi was frightened, he really was. The bunch of men who came with him earlier was gone, not only that, there were a bunch of tigers before him, and also countless spectators around him.

Rushing up felt wrong, escaping felt wrong as well because he didn’t want to throw his own face.

Finally, he simply froze in the middle of the street.

Luo Lin turned to look, he swept his gaze across those escapees that had been brought back by the brothers arranged to stay ambushed in the alley.

Luo Lin beckoned to Liang Zi: "Liang Zi, go drag out whoever hit you with the wooden club the last time."

Liang Zi nodded. Compared with everyone, he was the only one with the glove on his right hand. There was a cast on his left hand which rested before his chest.

'In the beginning, Brother Lin promised to help me get revenge, although it was several days late, I will get my payback on this day!'

Liang Zi's heart was full of gratitude for Luo Lin, but his expression remained cold. Even though he was chubby, his figure was comparable to most muscular guys.

He walked past Chi Shi without a word with his posture full of momentum. He stopped right before the bunch of guys under Chi Shi, and his gaze landed on a tall and slender person whose legs were shaking like he had a blood clot in his brain.

"Stretch out your left arm." Liang Zi said in a chilled tone.

That skinny and tall person was so frightened his teeth chattered, he stretched out his arm and almost cried. Whilst trembling, he pleaded: "B-Big brother...  p-please let me go, it was Chi Shi who instructed us, I didn’t do it on p-purpose."

Liang Zi disregarded his pleas and without a second thought, he raised his hand and smashed the brick toward that skinny and tall person's head.

When Liang Zi's hand came down, the motion was a little too wide so the person was able to block it with his hand. After he raised his hand to cover his head, a resounding "Crack!" sounded, and the brick in Liang Zi's grasp broke into two while the tall man screamed.

“Ahh!~~~" The tall man held his left arm and rolled about on the floor, the pain was so intense that his face turned pale.

Liang Zi threw away the brick and coldly said: "I used a brick, so it wasn’t as ruthless as the wooden club you used the last time. This counts as our debts settled. Since you admitted your fault, I gave you a simple punishment.”

“If you dare to look for me again, carve my face into your brain. My name is Liang Zi, if you bring a knife, then I dare to stretch my head out for you to chop my head off. If you don't have the balls, then fucking get lost from my sight, fu*k off!"

That fellow understood that Liang Zi went easy on him, so how would he dare spew anymore nonsense. He used his uninjured hand to lift himself off the floor and scampered away.

"Brother Lin, what about the others?" Liang Zi asked respectfully.

Luo Lin waved his hand: "Let them go."

Liang Zi nodded and said to those followers of Chi Shi that had been brought back: "Get lost!"

Everyone felt as though they were granted amnesty. They quickly fled like a bunch of rats, leaving the foolish Chi Shi alone.

Luo Lin looked at the dazed Chi Shi and felt a little disgust. If he had a son like him, then Luo Lin wouldn’t be able to rest in peace.

Liang Zi returned to Luo Lin and asked: "Brother Lin, how do we deal with this Chi Shi?"

Luo Lin didn’t reply to him. He looked at the unmoving Chi Shi and spoke: "Chi Shi, your followers have gone away so why are you still here? You really want to fight all of us all single-handedly?"

Chi Shi heard this and finally returned to his senses, thinking that Luo Lin was letting him off, he then quickly ran toward the alley.

At this point in time, who gives a crap about their face?

He saw everything clearly when Liang Zi hit that fellow. If it was replaced with Chi Shi, then it would have been disastrous. If there was a hole in the floor, Chi Shi wouldn’t hesitate to hide in it.

A gentleman does not care about the present loss, not to mention that he wasn’t a good man at all, so Chi Shi ran!

Chi Shi's pathetic appearance made Luo Lin laugh: "Chi Shi, continue running and I'll punch you."

Who would’ve expected that his words worked like a charm. Chi Shi who ran two steps immediately stopped in place and returned to being a statue like earlier.

Lin Jiadong and the others witnessed Chi Shi’s actions and felt a lot of disdain for him.

Chi Shi was the leader of a faction in One High yet he had no capability and had such a cowardly personality. Were it not for his father being the Deputy Mayor, he would’ve been a pitiful worm that gets beaten up every day.

Luo Lin let out a genuine smile as he strode over to Chi Shi. He stopped beside him and sighed: "When I told you to run, you ran. When I told you to stop, you stopped. Chi Shi, you're so obedient that I have gained a whole new outlook of you.”

“Alright, I won't make things difficult for you anymore. I'll tell you truthfully, I didn’t plan on beating you up today, because I know you're being used by someone else.”

“When you go back, don't forget to tell the boss of that whatever white dragon hall, that Brother Dragon of yours, if he wishes to screw me over, then do it openly. Don't make things difficult for cowards like you."

At this time, Luo Lin smelled a whiff of urine. He then realized Chi Shi's pants had gotten damp. Seeing that, Luo Lin couldn’t help but laugh with his gaze full of pity.

He shook his head as he lit up two cigarettes, he placed one in Chi Shi's mouth, and sorted his collar: "Go home,wash your pants and stop involving yourself in this matter anymore, you're not made for this."

After that, he waved at Lin Jiadong and Liang Zi and then walked toward the entrance.

Lin Jiadong knew that Chi Shi's matter was considered resolved, so he yelled and waved his hands: "My brothers, let's go!"

When they received the order to leave, they threw away the bricks and placed the gloves back into their pockets. They then followed Liu Wanchuan, Lin Jiadong, and the others.

After two minutes, the alley which was packed with people became empty. Only Chi Shi remained, he sat blankly on the floor in the company of the scattered bricks.

The onlookers came forward and discussed this matter in high spirits. When it came to Luo Lin, everyone got so excited that no one cared about Chi Shi who sat on the floor like an idiot.

They knew that the three factions in One High was going to experience a change. From today onward, One High would only have 2 bosses, Luo Lin, and "Prince of the Underworld" Qian Hu!
