Shen Ziqiao was extremely nervous when she heard that she couldn’t escape the development of the plot. It wasn’t that she looked down on Qi Zheng, but because if she really followed the development of the plot, wouldn’t that mean that as a cannon fodder, she would still have a tragic ending?

What should she do? Wait for death? Or escape?

If she escaped, wouldn’t she still be following the development of the plot? She’d still die halfway while escaping due to the tyrannical ways she faced, no?

Shen Ziqiao wanted to cry.

Qi Zheng ! Right, Qi Zheng probably doesn’t want to marry her. As long as he was unwilling, this marriage wouldn’t happen! Shen Ziqiao was sure that Qi Zheng was pretending to be a fool, so she believed that he could oppose this marriage.

“Wait here for me. I’ll go out for a second.” Shen Ziqiao ordered Shen Ziyang before walking out.

Shen Ziyang called out loudly behind her, “Where are you going?”

“Kids shouldn’t ask that much!” Shen Ziqiao replied. She was already downstairs.

Qi Zheng should be in the VIP room behind them or something.

Shen Ziqiao went downstairs and asked a shop assistant whether he had seen Sheng Peiyin. One of them recognized her and maybe it was because they were ordered by Sheng Peiyin, they all said they hadn’t seen Third Miss Sheng before.

She wants to avoid her? Shen Ziqiao lifted her brows and walked towards the private room behind.

“Third Miss Shen, where are you going?” The shopkeeper had been keeping an eye on her the moment she appeared. Seeing that she was about to head to the back, he thought of Sheng Peiyin’s order, and immediately stopped her.

“Oh, I’m going to find Sister Sheng.” Shen Ziqiao smiled.

The shopkeeper said, “Our Third Miss isn’t there.”

“Oh, then let me go find her somewhere else.” Shen Ziqiao smiled, turning around to walk up the second floor. Seeing that the shopkeeper turned around, she immediately flashed towards the back.

The so-called VIP room was just a refurbishing of the rooms in the two sides of the back garden. The back garden was exquisite and unique. There were trees and rocks, a natural scene. The environment was quite nice.

Where would Qi Zheng be? There’s no way she should go search each room...

Shen Ziqiao really hoped that she had golden fingers like the heroine, so that she could find Qi Zheng right away.

Of course, there was no way this could happen to her.

She slowly walked down the corridor. There was only one floor. There were five private rooms on each of the left and right side. The garden was in the middle. There was no pavilion or rockery in the garden. It was worthy of being a VIP room.

Ah—

The private room in front of her was suddenly opened. As a servant walked out, he said politely, “Young Master Qi, please enjoy the snacks. If you need anything, just order this servant.”

Young Master Qi? Could it be Qi Zheng? That coincidental?

Shen Ziqiao hurriedly walked over, but when she saw that the Young Master Qi inside wasn’t Qi Zheng, she couldn’t help but feel disappointed.

She was about to turn around when she heard a low and deep voice from behind. She turned around in surprise and as expected, a middle-aged man brought Qi Zheng over.

“Qi Zheng!” Shen Ziqiao called out in surprise.

Qi Zheng acted like he didn’t hear it. He followed the middle-aged man into another private room. Before the door was about to close, Shen Ziqiao walked over in large strides. She smiled and blocked the doors which were about to close.

“Young Master Qi, I want to ask you for help!” Shen Ziqiao said in a low voice, begging him with her eyes.

“Who...who are you? What do you want?” Qi Zheng stood behind the middle-aged servant, looking at Shen Ziqiao in alarm.

Shen Ziqiao pushed the servant aside and walked in. “Do you still recognize me?”

Qi Zheng was dashing and charming, with a tall and sturdy figure. He wore magnificent clothes. If it weren’t for the ignorant and dull expression, no matter how she looked at him, he was a handsome man.

“You...you…” Qi Zheng stared at Shen Ziqiao, stunned. “I don’t remember.”

The middle-aged servant closed the door and knitted his brows as he stared at Shen Ziqiao. “Third Miss Shen, is something of the matter?”

Shen Ziqiao responded, “I want to talk to Young Master Qi about something.”

Qi Zheng naturally recognized the woman he encountered a while ago at the Thousand Buddha Temple. Even more he knew that she was the well-known arrogant and unruly young miss of the capital. She was famous, but not for a good reason.

He was curious as to why she said someone wanted to harm her. Therefore, he acted along with her.

“I have nothing to say to you.” Qi Zheng said. He knew that woman must be suspicious of her, so he couldn’t give her a chance to approach him.

“Then just listen. You don’t need to say anything.” Shen Ziqiao immediately said, “You definitely won’t want to marry a woman like me whose reputation is in ruins. I am unwilling to marry you either. There’s nothing I can do about the person scheming us together. But I know you will have a solution. Please, don’t let this come true.”

She was certain that since Qi Zheng pretended to be stupid, he won’t allow anyone to dictate his life.

Marriage meant that he’d be bound to the person for lifelong. How could someone casually decide his wife for him?

“Third Miss Shen, our young master’s marriage is decided by his parents. How could he make his own decision?” The middle-aged man said unhappily, looking at Qi Zheng.

Shen Ziqiao didn’t know whether tihs servant was Qi Zheng’s trusted aide or not. Therefore, she didn’t dare tell that Qi Zheng was pretending to be a fool. She miserably said, “No matter what… no matter what, I won’t marry you.”

“Everyone in the capital knows that you only want to marry the Ninth Prince.” The middle-aged servant said expressionlessly.

Although the words didn’t sound mocking, Shen Ziqiao’s face flushed. She found this quite embarrassing. She didn’t want to marry the Ninth Prince at all though...

“I just saw the Ninth Prince with Third Miss Sheng together.” Qi Zheng said to himself.

Shen Ziqiao knew he was saying this for her to hear.

“Young Master Qi!” Shen Ziqiao really hoped that he could stop the marriage between the Qi and Shen Family.

“Uncle Qun, I want to go back.” Qi Zheng avoided Shen Ziqiao’s hands and walked behind Uncle Qun.

“Yes, young master.” Uncle Qun glared at Shen Ziqiao, certain that she was just trying to ruin his young master’s mood. They had just come out not long when his young master already decided to head back.

Before Shen Ziqiao could say anything, she saw Qi Zheng opening the door and walking out.

It seems like she could only rely on herself!

She sighed in her heart, deciding to go home after notifying Shen Ziyang. She needed to test the old woman’s opinion on this.

After coming out of the private room, she heard a familiar voice when passing by the garden. She looked up to see Sheng Peiyin and a handsome young man with a builty figure coming out from across. Shen Ziqiao was shocked and hid behind the rockery.

“...That day, I made plans to meet you by the lotus garden. However, I didn’t know how Jiao Jiao found out about it. I had no choice but to go to the Thousand Buddha Temple with her, making you wait alone.” Sheng Peiyin’s voice vaguely spread to Shen Ziqiao’s ears.

“This prince didn’t blame you. In fact, I need to thank you for being able to avoid that mad woman.” The man said in a gentle voice.

This was the Ninth Prince? Shen Ziqiao took a secret look at him. He was in fact a handsome man.

“Ninth Prince, Jiao Jiao is actually a pretty good woman.” Sheng Peiyin smiled.

“Don’t mention her anymore. This prince doesn’t want to have nightmares.” The Ninth Prince said in disgust.

Shen Ziqiao looked at the sky. So in that handsome man’s eyes, she was a nightmare to him.

However, what happened at the Thousand Buddha Temple… Sheng Peiyin really schemed well. While having questionable relations with the Ninth Prince, she talked about helping her seduce him...
