At that very moment, a shadow enveloped GuMeng.

Instantly, the female ghost stopped. Looking at the tall figure blocking her way, she tilted her head and after a moment, quietly retreated.

The elevator doors slowly closed.

GuMeng thought he would be attacked but nothing happened even after a long time.

Hesitantly cracking an eye open, he saw a face very close to his.

It was the 1.9 meters handsome man.

GuMeng was taken aback before he realized that at the critical moment, it was the man shielding him and after calming down, he thanked the man.

The man caged GuMeng between the wall of the elevator and his body, staring at him intently. His stare was filled with curiosity, and he raised his finger, pointing to the corner of his eye. “You are leaking water.”

GuMeng hurriedly touched his eyes. As expected, they were wet. Turned out that because of the terrifying fear he felt just now, he cried.

He bowed his head and messily rubbed his face, but then realised that the man’s words were a little strange. Who would refer to tears as water?

Suspicions grew in his heart.

“My name is GuMeng, what are you called?”

The man cocked his head and said in confusion, “I didn’t call for anything.”
(T/N: GuMeng was asking for his name in a way that could be interpreted as GuMeng asking the man what he was calling for, but one would usually take it as being asked for their name in this context.)

“......” GuMeng met the man’s gaze filled with sincerity and endured the irritation he felt. He patiently asked, “My name is GuMeng, what is your name?”

The man frowned and asked, “Name?”

“......” Feeling as if he was speaking to a Martian, GuMeng struggled to repress his irritation. “What did you do before coming here?”

The man shook his head.

Seeing his gaze like that of a lost little lamb, GuMeng was more and more certain of his suspicions. Softening his tone, he asked, “Then, is there anything you remember?”

The man shook his head once again.

GuMeng felt sympathy at that moment. The person before him was tall and handsome, but it was his brain that was not entirely functional. It was not only his memory but also his basic common sense that seemed to be missing, and he seemed almost like a three-year old kid.

Before entering this game, GuMeng was a kindergarten teacher, and the innocent eyes of this man aroused his professional conscience.

After hesitating for a moment, he patted the man on the shoulder and said, “If you don’t understand anything here, you can ask me.”

This cub, leave it to him to take care of.

When GuMeng and the man went upstairs, the haunting storm was over. The corridor on the sixth floor was completely empty. The rest of the players must have found their roommates already, so the two of them naturally entered a room together.

When opening the door, GuMeng discovered a strange setting of the game. He was unable to open the door by himself, and only when holding the hand of another person was he then able to open the door to the room.

Teacher XiaoYu telling them not to be alone was probably an important reminder for them to be able to open the doors.

The first night quietly passed.

The morning of the second day, the players went to the fourth floor of the teaching building following the content of the short message.

Reaching the third year Class A classroom, everyone found a seat to settle down on. They were more or less deskmates with the one they shared a room with the previous night.

The walls of the classroom were filled with calligraphy, painting and photos. Just by looking at the environment, it was clear that this was a very lively class.

Not long after, a woman in a black and white uniform came in, holding a teaching stick in one hand and the lesson plan in another, a smile lighting up her face.

Teacher XiaoYu stood on the podium and with the standard smile showing exactly eight teeth, she looked straight towards the back of the classroom and said, “The new semester has begun. I’m very glad to see you here, and I hope everyone can work hard this semester.”

“Shhhck. Shhhck.”

GuMeng was carefully listening to her, but the sound of flipping entered his ears.

He glanced to his side casually.

His roommate was currently diligently reading through the fifth volume of the Mandarin textbook, the People’s Education edition!

The speed of a page per second was just like that of a scanner.

Originally wanting to remind him to listen to the woman speaking since the NPC may issue a task, GuMeng thought of the issue with the man’s IQ and the possibility that he might not understand why, and gave up in the end.

“But before officially starting class, there is one thing I need everyone to help with.” Teacher XiaoYu gazed at everyone in the room. “The police investigation had found that the cause of ChunZi’s death was because she was pushed off the roof by a male teacher in our year. However, the male teacher had yet to be caught.”

Everyone fell silent, and there was only “shhhck shhhck”, the sound of pages flipping echoing in the classroom.

HeWei had always had the strong desire to express himself and so he raised his hand and asked, “Teacher, is ChunZi’s last wish to find that male teacher?”

Teacher XiaoYu looked towards him and smiled as she nodded. “Yes, it is ChunZi’s wish to catch her murderer.”

“Are there any clues? Where can we find the murderer?”

Teacher XiaoYu smiled till her eyes formed crescents, looking very amiable, but what came out of her mouth caused a chill to run down everyone’s spines. “Here.”

“The male teacher has dorn on a student uniform and mixed in with everyone in third year Class A, and he is sitting with everyone here.”
